Old Competition Guidelines (2004 and earlier)

Members may show a total of four slides in the Monthly Competition. A maximum of two Special Topic slides are allowed and the other slides can be distributed as wished in the remaining categories: Pictorial, Photo Travel, Nature and Prints. To identify the correct horizontal and vertical orientation, put a LARGE dot in the lower left hand corner of the slide. Put your name at the bottom of the slide and the name of the picture at the top of the slide. At the beginning of the break, after the slide presentation, place your slides in the appropriate categories on the front table.

• Traditional and digital photographs, modified or not, and of any subject matter are included in the Pictorial category.
• The Nature category is for photographs of nature including scenery and non-domestic animals. The 'hand of man' meaning buildings, roads, signs, fences, etc. need to be absent from these photographs. There can be no digital modifications in this category.
• The Travel Photography category is for photographs showing people, places and things photographed while traveling. Digital modifications are not allowed in this category.
• Prints can be of any subject, from traditional or digital formats, color or black and white, mounted, and the minimum size is 8x10 inches.
